» Please introduce yourself and the band to our readers.
I am Kieran, drummer of Eden Maine. Eden Maine are a hard rock act from the UK. Although we play hard rock we have brutal double bass.

» Where does Eden Maine’s name come from?
Nick our bass player came up with it. This is the story he tell us. Eden comes from a guy called Eden strang that attacked omse people in church with a smaurai sword. Nick thought it ironic that someone called Eden got violent in church and went mental. Maine comes from the place where Stephen King sets alot of books.

» Now the stupid question: what bands would you say influenced the band the most?
Everyone listens all sorts of stuff. Everything from metal to hardcore to emo. For me its megadeth.

» Your EP called “The Treachery Pact” really kicks ass !! How have it been received so far?
We’ve had an excellent response. People seem to be digging it big time. Many thanks to anyone that has picked up a copy.

» Why did you choose Kurt Ballou from Converge to produce it?
Our old guitarist was really into Kurt Ballou and everything he’d done. He played us alot of Kurts stuff and we felt he’d be perfect to bring the best out of songs. He’d produced alot of stuff that had a very dark feel to it and we were basically aiming for that.

» Why do you want to re-release this EP?
Its basically just a repress. No new songs just new artwork.

» I saw your live set at the Fury Fest in Nantes,France (it kicked ass ;) . How did you feel after playing for 3000 people with great bands as such as Madball, Sick Of It All or The Exploited?
It was the most amazing experiece in my life. Although i prefer playing on small stages, playing to that many people was just a crazy experience. I was completely pumped on nervous adrenaline aswell – which while making you feel sick before playing makes you feel really good afterwards. Plus we got to catch up with our buddies in knut and serge the sound guy (many thanks to him for doing our sound). And it was very sunny. I like sunny weather. A perfect day.

» You’re now a part of Fuel Music Records, how do you feel about that ? How did you get there?
They just contacted us and we went from there. There are some good bands on Fuel so it’s cool to be playing with them and rocking out. Its early days so it will be interesting to see what happens. Should be fun!

» Anything to add?
Many thanks to anyone that has bought the album or come to see us play live. All your support is very appreciated. If you haven’t heard of us you can check out music out at http://www.edenmaine.com. Bye.
